Onchain protection just got a major upgrade. With new features now live in the Nexus Mutual app, managing cover is simpler, faster, and more flexible.
The latest rollouts include live chat support, cover edits, limit orders, and automated renewals. Whether you’re an experienced investor or just getting started, these updates give you more control.
If you’ve ever had questions about choosing the right cover or how a feature works, you can now get answers directly in the app. Just open the app and tap the chat button in the lower-right corner to start a conversation with the Nexus Mutual team.
With cover edits, you can adjust the duration or the coverage amount on an active policy. In the app, head to “Cover” and then select “Your covers.”
Extend your cover period, increase your cover amount, or fine-tune coverage to match your strategy. It’s fast, flexible, and fully onchain.
Limit orders let you define exactly what you need from a cover, including how much you’re willing to pay.
When purchasing a new cover, toggle the pricing from “Market” to “Limit Order” in the top right corner. You choose the cover amount, duration, and maximum annual fee.
If pool managers agree to those terms, your order is matched and executed automatically. Your funds stay in your wallet until the order is filled. Once it’s matched, a Cover NFT is issued to your wallet and you’re notified by email. You can monitor your orders in the app under the “Your Limit Orders” tab.
For stakers, limit orders offer a chance to respond directly to market demand. By allocating capacity toward these orders, stakers can earn rewards while helping the protocol grow.
Forget manual repurchasing. With automated renewals, your cover can keep going without interruption. Once you purchase cover, you’ll have the option to set up automated renewals.
Just choose how often you want it to renew, and make sure your wallet has enough funds - wETH or NXM - to cover future premiums.
If renewal fails for any reason, such as a price change or insufficient balance, you’ll get an instant email alert so you can take action.
